The Camanche Balance Perch was developed in 1997 by JOE PORTSCHELLER after many frustrating days on the Sacramento river and the Delta water ways, Figuring out a way to watch for that slight Sturgeon bite when the boat was rocking and the wind blowing,With the help of my wife Jan and son John, We finally came up with the concept of a v slot to hold the rod, and a swivel that allowes it to move up and down and side to side, so that the tip of the rod is allways in position to show the slightest bite no matter what the boat was doing .
we manufacture the Perch out of high density plastic for strength and durability, with all stainless steel parts.
The grip in the v of the perch holds the rod solid and upright without the need for any other means of rod attachment, So when the strike hits, you can remove the rod and set the hook instantly.
The perch can be mounted in a number of diferent ways, directly to a square tubing, to a pvc pipe, or what ever fits your type of boat.
There are many copies and imitations of the Camanche Balance Perch, but they can not compare to the original creation.
